Karalynn joined Emerald in August 2013 and serves as Executive Vice President with responsibility for the General Merchandise, Sourcing and Industrial sectors. Karalynn is responsible for increasing market share, building new revenue streams through strategic partnerships, and creating a solution-based sales and service approach. With more than 20 years of experience in the media and event marketing industries, Karalynn has ample experience guiding top-tier companies to success. As an accomplished corporate sales leader and marketer, she spent the prior 6 years at UBM Advanstar, serving as Vice President for MAGIC International. Prior to that, Karalynn spent 15 years in publishing, most recently she was Vice President of Advertising for the Los Angeles News Group, a division of Media News Group. Karalynn is a native Californian, she attended school in Oregon and her career has taken her to Central, Northern California as well as Nevada before returning to where she currently resides in Long Beach, California with her husband, Dr. Paul Gvildys.

Karalynn’s interests include traveling, golf, hiking, yoga, biking and the beach.
